Fort Collins, CO. Gorgeous mountain backdrops. Great minds from around the globe. What a great set up for a Code Sprint! Out of about 25 participants, Cividesk was proud to have the most representatives (3) of any other CiviCRM partner! One first-year participant shares her thoughts on the subject. Read more about this year's Sprint here!
CiviCRM has switched from using a wiki and Flossmanuals for primary documentation to a new platform called readthedocs which also has a well thought out set of conventions to follow. This change is expected to faciliate documentation and the wiki will no longer be the main source, though it may be used for other purposes moving forward.
Nicolas Ganivet, co-founder and principal at Cividesk, can attest that CiviCRM is so much more than software! In a recent feature for CiviCRM, Nicolas says, "My advice to any organization considering or using CiviCRM would be to look at the whole picture: as much as the software itself is superior to any other CRM for nonprofits (and getting better with each new release), the thriving community around it is such an important part of the experience. Come meet us, get involved and feel the power!
There is still time to register for the 2016 CiviCon, May 31 through June 8, 2016! Visit https://colorado2016.civicrm.
The Conference (June 2 & 3) will be preceded by two days of role-specific training (May 31 & June 1), and will then be followed by a Sprint (June 4-8), where the Civi community will be building new features and ideas into CiviCRM.
Now our online training classes are even easier to navigate! It's simple to find just the right class to meet your needs with our new visual curriculum map. View it here to see how the classes are organized and make plans for your next training. Classes are broken down into categories for Beginner and Intermediate CiviCRM users and color coded accordingly.
Following the success of the event in 2015, our beautiful state of Colorado has been once again elected to host the annual North American CiviCon for 2016. CiviDesk is happy to continue to give back to the CiviCRM community by leading the organization of this event again this year.
