For the fourth year in a row, Denver has had a growing and thriving CiviDay co-organized by Cividesk and Teaming 4 Technology. We welcomed nearly 45 attendees for an all-day event in the beautiful venue at the Mile High United Way.
Both Cividesk and Upleaf presented sessions in the morning. Then after lunch we continued full speed ahead in the afternoon with 2 different training sessions for new users and intermediate users and a co-working session where Cividesk and Upleaf teamed up as experts in the field to answer any questions related to CiviCRM.
How CiviCRM helped strengthen our Individual Giving
The Mile High Youth Corps (MHYC) located in Denver, Colorado was founded in the tradition of the Civilian Conservation Corps from the 1930’s. The organization helps young people make a difference in the community and their own lives, through service opportunities focused on conservation.
Cividesk recently spoke with Tory Pearson, the Annual Giving and Events coordinator about using CiviCRM to help manage and increase their donations and organize their annual fundraising event.
The mission of the Pan-American Association of Ophthalmology (PAAO) is the prevention of blindness through lifelong education and cultural exchange among ophthalmologists in the Western Hemisphere.
The association provides a virtual meeting place for professionals from all over the world to gather as a Pan-American Community and focus on ways to standardize and improve ophthalmic knowledge and skills for the improvement of patient care.
Once again, Cividesk will be happy to welcome you at CiviDay Denver and CiviDay Paris on February 24th.
CiviDay is an annual event, hosted in various locations worldwide, on the same day. Learn about CiviCRM and what it can do for your organization, meet other CiviCRM users and gather their feedback, learn advanced strategies for managing your online database.
CiviDay Denver is brought to you by Cividesk and Teaming for Technology Colorado.
Using CiviCRM to Engage Global Members and Promote Human Rights
The International Network for Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (ESCR-Net) is a member-based network that connects NGO’s, social movements and advocates in more than 70 countries to create a global movement to make human rights and social justice a reality for all.
Cividesk recently spoke with Thea Gelbspan, Membership and Solidarity Coordinator at ESCR-Net about how CiviCRM has improved the network’s communication with members and resulted in a strengthening of their organization at the global level.

A new member of our Giving Back program
permEzone turned to Cividesk for help with a contact management and fundraising system needed to support a pilot program. We’re testing the idea of working with permaculture training centers to train and support family farmers in less-industrialized regions of the world. Farmers are trained in the design of sustainable food systems and in the use of mobile phone technology to share knowledge and experience. Over the course of the pilot, we will continue to develop the program based on practical experience in a variety of settings, and work with an independent team of monitors who will evaluate and document the program’s impact, and validate the concept.
