Giving Back: Help Children of India
Help Children of India supports and advocates for India’s most vulnerable people including orphans, rural young women and the aged from Snehalaya Care Campus near Gwalior City, central India.
Snehalaya Care Campus provides:
- full care for nearly 70 disabled, poor and abused Orphans (our residents)
- special needs facilities, education and vocational training for our residents
- rural mainstream school for up to 500 children mainly girls from the surrounding villages
- our base from which we run rural medical programmes into remote villages
For decades, our charity had been relying on spreadsheets to record CRM data and very old, legacy emailing software with little functionality in order to communicate with our volunteers and donors. We urgently needed a major upgrade to professionalise our operations but in doing so, we needed to partner with an organisation who believed in our work and could help cover the major costs involved in moving to a new state-of-the art CRM and mailing solution.
Keval Bharadia, Trustee, Help Children of India explains: “Virginie and the team at Cividesk kindly offered to provide us with a professional solution as part of their generous Giving Back program. They were a pleasure to work with during our requirements gathering phase. Now that we have just gone live with CiviCRM, we are developing our internal skills at getting the most out of the system.
All of us at Help Children of India are really excited about using it and believe that CiviCRM, and our partnership with Cividesk, will transform our operations and the way we communicate with our volunteers and donors. Most important of all, we also believe that for decades to come, this partnership has ensured the best possible social outcomes for the children and other vulnerable communities we serve in some of the poorest parts of India”.
