National Hispanic Voter Educational Foundation
Putting CiviCRM to the test: Managing a database of 600,000 contacts
The National Hispanic Voter Educational Foundation (NHVEF) was created to encourage, inform and enable individuals in the Hispanic community to appreciate the importance of voting and to consistently exercise this privilege. This non-partisan foundation is dedicated to helping individuals find their voice in order to make a positive impact on themselves, their family and the community. NHVEF also manages a call center to reach out to the Hispanic community and engage them in this goal through a voter pledge.
Cividesk recently spoke with Nikki Swarn of the NHVEF about their experiences with CiviCRM.

Home Builders Foundation
A new member of our Giving Back program
When Home Builders Foundation of Metro Denver was faced with fatal database errors during a CiviCRM upgrade, they did not know how to deal with this issue.
The Home Builders Foundation’s mission is to provide accessibility solutions and home modifications for individuals with disabilities and financial need through the collaborated efforts of the building industry. Having completed nearly 1,200 projects since 1993, the Foundation operates with a staff of two and a minuscule budget. They could not afford the services of a CiviCRM consultant to repair their database and proceed with the upgrade.

The 'desk' is here ... with a surprise!
Cividesk was founded on the vision of providing a suite of integrated applications, centered around CiviCRM, to serve non-profit organizations. While we have so far provided CiviCRM integrated with Drupal, Joomla! or WordPress, Google Apps, ConstantContact or Mailchimp, we were missing a crucial piece: the 'desk'.

Formatting the entries in your database
Have you ever wished all the phone numbers in your database would be correctly formatted according to the country's and international standards? That all the names - first, last and company - would be correctly capitalized, including local language specifics and common abbreviations? And more importantly ... that this would be done auto-magically for you whenever new data is added to CiviCRM?
